Strong and Steady: Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention

Many studies have shown Tai Chi to be one of the most effective approaches for preventing falls. Dr. Paul Lam’s Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention Program is recognized by the CDC as an evidence-based program. Join Family Life Educator Robin Ridgley to learn this gentle Tai Chi form that can improve muscular strength, flexibility, and fitness. Classes will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Tuesday, April 14, through Thursday, June 4. There will be no Tai Chi classes on Tuesday, April 28, or Tuesday, June 2. Alternative dates will be discussed.
Participation in 14 of the 16 classes is recommended for optimal benefit. We will learn new forms each lesson, so registration will not be allowed after the start of the second class. Please wear comfortable clothing and proper footwear. Slides/sandals will not be allowed.
