POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Red Bud Police Department is accepting applications for a full-time police officer.

All applicants must:

  • Have a minimum of one year of full-time law enforcement experience.
  • Be a U.S. citizen.
  • Have a current/valid driver’s license.
  • No felony convictions.
  • Live twenty miles or less from the police department, in the state of Illinois and within six months of hire.
  • Pass an interview, background check, physical, drug screening and psychological evaluation.

The city’s officers take home squad cars if living within city limits and have uniforms provided.  The pay is $30.41/hr.
