We had some lovely comments come in from Shawn Wiegard Liefer and wanted to share:
"I would like to send a huge shoutout to those involved in making the Red Bud pool great again! My sister and I have been going to lap swim for the last 15 years or so. All of the improvements made to the pool lately have not gone unnoticed. We even had full lanes at lap swim today! The water is clearer than ever, the bathhouses are cleaner than ever and the new vacuum is doing an excellent job! I have also noticed when we leave, the pool is filling up again with families, and those who just want to enjoy the water. They have floats and toys for the kids. If you haven’t checked out the pool in a few years, I highly recommend it. They also offer water aerobics for those who are interested. As a child, I grew up at the Red Bud pool and it is great to see it has made a comeback. I am happy to see families making memories again, just like I did. Thank you again to everyone who made this happen! " ... See MoreSee Less

The Southern Illinois Community Foundation recently named the Community Foundation of Red Bud (CFRB) as a recipient of a Community Impact Grant, powered by Sol Systems LLC.
This $4,500 grant recognizes efforts to restore and expand tree planting throughout our city parks. To further enhance the project, CFRB contributed additional funding, allowing for the purchase and planting of 20 trees with a total project value of $5,000.
We extend our sincere appreciation to The Davey Tree Expert Company and Tom Beshoar for their partnership and assistance in bringing this project to completion. Their support will help ensure our parks remain beautiful, welcoming spaces for generations to come. ... See MoreSee Less
