The City of Red Bud has been awarded a $20,000 Cemetery Relief Grant through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)!

This grant helps preserve and maintain our community’s historic cemetery, ensuring that those who came before us are honored with the dignity and respect they deserve. The funding supports important restoration efforts, including the care and preservation of headstones, helping protect a meaningful part of Red Bud’s history for generations to come.

We are grateful to Red Bud Monument for completing the restoration work and helping bring this project to life. A special thank you goes to Susan Mehring for coordinating this project and helping make this important preservation effort possible.
