City of Red Bud Map with Color Coding for Proposed Grant Changes

Residents of Red Bud are encouraged to take part in two upcoming public hearings focused on the future of the community’s parks and connectivity.

On Monday, July 20, 2026, the City of Red Bud will host two hearings at Red Bud City Hall, 200 East Market Street, to gather public input on two important grant applications aimed at enhancing local recreation and infrastructure.

The first hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will provide an opportunity for residents to ask questions and share feedback on the City’s proposed Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program application. This project seeks to develop a sidewalk and shared-use path connection linking Ratz Park to Lincoln Park to Field Drive, improving accessibility and promoting safe, active transportation throughout the community.

Immediately following, at 5:45 p.m., a second hearing will be held regarding the City’s proposed Illinois Department of Natural Resources Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) application. This discussion will focus on planned revitalization efforts for Lincoln Park, offering residents a chance to provide insight and valuable feedback for the park’s future.
