Guiding Growth and protecting community character
The Zoning and Planning Department is responsible for overseeing the orderly development of our community and ensuring that land use aligns with the goals established in the City’s Comprehensive Plan. Our mission is to balance growth with the preservation of the community’s character, environment, and quality of life.
We provide guidance to residents, property owners, and developers on zoning regulations, land use, and building projects. Our staff works closely with the Planning Commission and elected officials to review development proposals, zoning changes, and special use requests.
